Hi there!

I’m Lydia Ruth Dawson, I’m a New York City based performing artist from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I am the oldest of five wonderful, rambunctious siblings whom I dearly love, and the daughter of two professional parents who equally support and worry about the stability of my theatrical pursuits.

After graduating from Hope College in quaint Holland, Michigan with degrees in Musical Theater and English Literature, I moved to New York City with a bright-eyed dream. I have been incredibly fortunate to work on many remarkable projects alongside some incredible artists!

These days, you can find me prancing in the park with my beloved dog, Ruby, dancing around town, and singing in the shower. My goal is to continue to make good art with good people and I work best in collaborative settings that are committed to excellence. I love traveling and enjoy reading, hiking, running, yoga, good food, and gathering people together to laugh and share and inspire. I think the world would be a better place if we opened our circles!
